JCCC released an image from one of its security cameras in the Parking Garage at Galileo’s Garden (PGGG) of the person believed to be the alleged kidnapper.

The Parking Garage at Galileo’s Garden (PGGG) is located on the southeast side of campus. The multilevel structure was built in 2004. It sits in the center of several campus parking lots.
Seven Emergency Phones are associated with the PGGG location with 4 of them inside the garage. The suspect in the photo released by JCCC is taken next to one of the emergency phones.
For the second time in three days, Johnson County Community College issued a Campus Alert regarding safety of its students.
Today JCCC sent an alert about a possible kidnapping from campus that occurred last night (Sept. 15). JCCC sent an alert earlier in the week that focused on an indecent exposure incident.
A look at the JCCC police department Daily Crime Log does not include these incidents. The last update to the log is about an iPod theft on Sept. 2.

Campus Alert On Thursday, Sept. 15, a JCCC student reported to Overland Park Police that he had been kidnapped from the Galileo’s Garden Parking Garage at JCCC at about 5:30 p.m. The student said he had been approached by a black male who told him to get in his car and drive. The student reported that the suspect took his cell phone as well as money from his wallet and, using an ATM, from his bank account; the student was eventually released unharmed in Kansas City, Mo., at about 8 p.m.The student described the male as black, 20-24 years old, 180 lbs., 5’10” to 6’ tall, wearing a black hooded shirt with white lettering, a white shirt under the hooded shirt, a black hat and black shorts. He had “dread-like” hair pulled back and a silver chain around his neck.Overland Park Police are investigating the case; JCCC Police are patrolling the college’s parking lots. Anyone with information should call JCCC Police at ext. 4112.

CAMPUS ALERT: An incident of indecent exposure was reported this morning (Sept. 13, 2011). A student reported that a white male with a full beard who looked to be in his mid-20s followed her in his car in the parking lot as she was walking to CLB. He pulled alongside her, got her attention, and exposed himself. He was driving a silver Toyota, license unknown. Please take care as you walk to and from the parking lots. JCCC Police are available to escort you to your car. Call ext. 4112 to request assistance; call ext. 4111 in an emergency
